About Dahls…
My name is Manda. I’m a 24 year-old tinkerer from Minnesota. I’ve been making things since I can remember, from doodling on napkins, to making duck tape wallets, to getting hot glue stuck to my fingers. When I was 13, my sister taught me how to make a bag for school with moms sewing machine. I enjoyed the whole concept of building your own thing completely from scratch, I wanted to make more things! I started crafting heavily when I was 15. I experimented with fabrics like faux fur and fleece and made my first fursuit. I’ve been making costumes ever since. In 2020, I started making plushies as well. I now make more plushies than costumes! But I plan on changing that with more custom creatures! What will be next??
I enjoy doing restorations as well, on old bikes, sewing machines, and phonographs. I enjoy woodworking from time to time, making 45s boxes, but that’s a hobby…
Where they started…

My plushies start with a made from scratch pattern, so each piece is similar, yet unique in their own way. In 2020, I started making plushies. Before this, I worked a lot with fabrics for fursuits, so I decided it was time to try out plushies. I was concerned In the beginning because I had never tried to make one, the curves and edges were frightening to think about, but it wasn’t bad once I made my base and figured out my pattern. Now I make more plushies than fursuits!

Vincents Creature Shop started in 2018, when I realised I had been making suits long enough to actually make them for others. In 2014, I made my first (really bad) fursuit. Although it was bad, I enjoyed running around in it anyway. After my first real fursuit build in 2018, I couldn’t stop. I had to make more. I loved how complex the suits could get, from where they started. Whats our next creature??

Clothing started for me when my dad came to me with his torn flannel. He needed patches, so I took some classic car fabric and some groovy pattern fabric for patches. I made them look quite nice, and he agreed. Quite a few people have complimented on it which I think is fantastic, Its an entertaining shirt.

My first sculpture was a small blue bird made with air dry clay. That thing was pretty bad, but yes, I still have it. Now I make detailed sculptures and bobble heads. I’ve done some woodworking with my sculpts as well. Muilti media is a must with sculpting.

I first got my hands dirty with a small 1970s bike. I stripped down the whole thing, cleaned each piece, sanded the metal, painted it a fresh red, and made a new banana seat. I continue to use it today! Its a fun bike. I’ve restored bikes, phonographs, singer sewing machines, tools, and torn vinyl sleeves/ covers. Sometimes the ol vinyl sides need help.
